Potatoes USA, the nation's potato marketing and research organization, represents over 2,500 potato growers and handlers across the country. Established in 1971 by a group of dedicated potato growers, the organization has consistently promoted the benefits of eating potatoes. In recent years, Potatoes USA faced a significant challenge: the propagation of misinformation on social media about the health content of potatoes. Solution

KUNGFU.AI partnered with Potatoes USA to address this challenge with a sophisticated AI-driven solution. The solution had two main components, the first of which was an NLP topic-modeling pipeline that ingests social media feeds, and identifies narratives related to potatoes and their nutritional value. This tool is fine-tuned on the clients' own preferences for what's important, and distills down huge volumes of information into just the core ideas for our clients to easily interpret.

The second component leverages a large language model (LLM) to generate draft responses containing factual information about the health benefits of potatoes. We used a technique called retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) to enable the model to reference the client's repository of research papers when creating these responses, encouraging high-quality responses. These drafts were then reviewed and approved by the Potatoes USA marketing team before being shared on social media. This process ensured that the responses were both accurate and aligned with the organization's messaging standards.

In combination with these two core components, we also built a custom user interface and a fully-automated deployment process to make the client's experience as smooth as possible.
