Unlike traditional methods that rely on patient metadata such as age, race, and medical history, our challenge was to develop an AI model that analyzes only radiological image data, removing the demographic inputs — age, race, medical history — that have driven bias in previous approaches.
Using radiological images from from diverse populations worldwide, we trained a highly accurate AI model capable of identifying early indicators of breast cancer risk with unmatched precision and reliability.
Our computer vision AI predicts a woman's breast cancer risk up to five years in advance, using image data alone — no age, no race, no medical history. FDA granted the device De Novo authorization (DEN240047) in a classification created for it, because nothing comparable existed to clear it against.
